Moving Forward

It seems that the rss feed problems were with the cache on my server. I just reset things and hope they are working now. At least I can add new pictures now. I'm going on a photo shoot this weekend and will have some autumn colors to share.

I'm considering letting Anarchist World Live become a secondary site and focus on Anarchist World and OAK:A Modern Mystery School. These are static sites but I really like the look better and they can always have links to the live page.

I've been updating the static pages once a day and that seems to be working fine. There is not enough activity to justify constant updates.

Anarchistic Knights-a serialadventure is nearing it's close. I should be finished with it by the end of October. Shortly after that I will start fresh with chapter one. So if you missed it the first time around you can catch it now or tell some friends about it.

The other serialadventures are progressing more slowly but the material is more challenging. I'm getting lots of readers that come back to read all of the back posts as well as the current ones. I'm sure this trend will continue as the material progresses.

Settling In

I'm settling in to the new routine. Anarchist World Live updates itself and I've been updating Anarchist World daily. Anarchist World has an rss feed for those interested. I will be getting links made later with subscription buttons.

This is still a major learning process for me and strange unexplained things still happen. One example is that "Wheel of the Year" will not update but remains stuck on the picture of the pine tree. That means the rss feed is being created but stuck in the past. Why that should happen I have absolutely no idea.

Other strangeness includes why Anarchistworld.com will pick up some of the rss feeds but not all of them. If I was more technologically experienced I might be tempted to look into these things and try to understand what is happening. That might still happen later. Right now I'm still recovering from major hassles with server crashes and home computer problems. If things work halfway as they should I'm inclined not to mess with them.

In other news blog flux just informed me that Anarchist World is now listed with them. Last time I looked Anarchist World had 67 rss subscriptions. That's not bad considering it is less than a month old.

till next time

Moving Right Along!

One month ago I never dreamed that I would be creating an online community based on rss feeds. I was busy simply trying to keep my serialadventure ebooks updated in a timely manner. My goal has been to keep Anarchistic Knights-a serialadventure episodes coming every other day and strive to update the others once weekly.

Anarchist World has taken a huge chunk of my time and energy especially with the server crash and the need to start over from scratch. It's strange that it never occured to me to just give up.

Anyway, posting episodes in my ebooks has taken quite a hit these last weeks and I'm hoping that will improve a bit soon. There is just too much to do and not enough time in the day.

Anarchist World is currently available in three versions online. Anarchist World Live is the main web page that updates itself hourly listing all current posts. I need about 10 hours listing this on current web page directories.

Anarchist World is the blog version and will not update by itself. I need to do it manually and right now am updating it every two days. I need the blog version because blogs are the way to go and Anarchist World is created out of community blogs. This needs to be listed in blog directories on the internet. I've already spent over 5 hours doing that and need around 5 hours more.

The third version is the RSS feed created by Anarchist World. http://anarchistworld.squarespace.com/journal/rss.xml is the address for this feed. This allows people to subscribe to the rss feed and veiw it on their own rss feed readers.Thankfully this is being listed at the same time Anarchist World is. I should be done after another 5 hours.

In the meantime each of my six serialadventures need to be listed in the directories. This is a task I've avoided for a long time. Each will take around 10 hours to do it properly.

Let's not forget posting episodes and creating some content for the community forums and I've got lot's to do. Please be patient with me while I get things listed in the directories. Getting things listed is the main way people can find the sites and that is important. Once its done I don't need to do it again. Its a one time deal and now is the time to do it while the community is still new. It will pay off later.

Thanks,
-anarchistbanjo
